Spring Colors Dessert Table

Spring Colors Dessert Table

So one of the many fun parts of being a StudioWed member is the opportunity to participate at really cool events. Here is a table I did for a recent wedding event at Pottery Barn. First of all, love the merchandise at Pottery Barn! I could literally buy everything in the store. And I love all their styling: rustic, chic, effortless entertaining, but with a fun twist.     The fabulous It Takes Two Events were the event planners and put together an amazing spring wedding palette of coral, peach, light green and pink. So pretty and light and spring-y. When I saw the colors, I knew...

Chic Carnival Wedding Featured in Southern Weddings Magazine

Chic Carnival Wedding Featured in Southern Weddings Magazine

I love the style of this Lemiga Events wedding! The bride wanted a glamorous candy table with a whimsical carnival feel. Her colors were silver, purple, white & brown – a beautiful combination. And, of course, I was over the moon to learn the wedding was recently featured in Southern Weddings Magazine. It’s a beautiful spread and I can’t wait to see more pictures posted when it’s featured on their website. I will definitely let you know when that happens. Best part for me: this AMAZING quote from the magazine “The candy favors station was Eddie’s...

Southern Charm Wedding Shoot Featured on Style Me Pretty

Southern Charm Wedding Shoot Featured on Style Me Pretty

I am so proud of this shoot! And here is some really exciting news – it’s being featured on Style Me Pretty!!! Oh. My. Goodness. The idea behind this table is a southern style wedding, that incorporates some new, fun sweets designs, while still respecting family traditions. We wanted to keep everything Georgia, so the dessert menu included banana pudding parfaits with nilla wafers, grilled peaches (don’t they look mouthwatering!), gummy cola bottles and peanut brittle. To keep with the look of the rest of the shoot, I used lace for the food labels – love using the...

Rustic Chic Bridal Shower

Rustic Chic Bridal Shower

So excited for you to see the pics from my latest party; a Rustic Chic garden bridal shower for my good friend Jaime.  This was a really fun dessert table to put together since it was a totally different look and feel from previous events. We’d been having really great weather here in Atlanta, so the other shower hosts & I decided an outdoor party would be great. And since my husband & I recently finished an outdoor renovation, our backyard was a perfect setting. I decided to use a vintage wood and galvanized metal cabinet as the table to display all my desserts. Since it was...

Event Expo – Part 2 Travel Theme

Event Expo – Part 2 Travel Theme

So for the second mini table I decided to do a travel theme.  I was shopping at one of my favorite vintage shops, Paris on Ponce and found some amazing accessories – a vintage hat box and an iron Eiffel Tower. I also found some really cute mini suitcases that I used to display the hand-made chocolates – more about that below. I finished the look with beautiful vintage map paper and “luggage tag” food labels I made! For the desserts, I got to make some really fun (and delicious) travel themed food. To sample, I made my amazing baklava. Sticky honey, pistachios, gooey...

Vintage Circus Party

Vintage Circus Party

Check out this really fun dessert table I did for a book club dinner my good friend Jen was hosting. The club was reading Water for Elephants, a story based around a circus in the 1920s.  I had so much fun brainstorming and putting together this table. I wanted the party to be playful, since it was such a great theme, but I didn’t want it to be too kiddy (since it was a girls night out, after all!). I had bought some cool striped paper placemats at Paper Source a couple of months ago, knowing I would eventually use them for something. When Jen asked me to do the circus party, I knew...
